This week we have supplied 1 electrical engineer and 1 instrumentation engineer to help assist a good customer of IES in relocating different instruments , transmitters and equipment. The customer wanted to house the equipment into new IP rated enclosures to help maintain the equipment in the harsh environments. We have completed all aspects of this project to make this happen.

We have worked alongside Ds smiths for the past 14 years and our working relation is forever going in which we are grateful for.

An IP (Ingress Protection) rated enclosure is a type of enclosure or housing that is designed to protect electronic devices, components, or other equipment from various environmental factors such as dust, water, and other contaminants. The IP rating system is used to classify the level of protection provided by an enclosure against these environmental factors.

The IP rating system consists of two digits, the first indicating the degree of protection against solid objects, and the second indicating the degree of protection against liquids. The higher the number, the greater the level of protection. For example, an IP67 enclosure provides a higher level of protection than an IP65 enclosure.

IP rated enclosures are commonly used in a wide range of applications, including outdoor electrical installations, marine electronics, industrial equipment, and medical devices. They are designed to withstand harsh environments and protect sensitive electronics from damage or failure due to exposure to dust, moisture, and other contaminants.
