As a part of the second stage of our customer’s project, which involved upgrading and integrating their conveyor and machine systems, our IES team visited their site to conduct a hands-on training session for their engineers and team leaders. During this session, we demonstrated how to use the HMI screens to monitor and control the conveyor and machine operations. We also taught them how to stop and start the conveyors, switch between hand and automatic modes, and activate and deactivate the alarms in case of any issues. The training session was designed to help them understand and operate the new systems with ease and confidence.
HMI stands for human-machine interface, which is a device or software that allows a person to interact with a machine, system, or device. HMI screens are displays that show graphics and options for the user to control and monitor the machine, system, or device. HMI screens can be touch screens, keypads, or a combination of both. HMI screens are used in various industrial and commercial applications, such as building management systems, automation, kiosks, and air-traffic control.
